Live sport / Broadcast graphics & automation

Via B

Live match graphics,ready for broadcast.

Via B gives production crews live match statistics in animated graphics for television. We built the tools to prepare English and Thai coverage, schedule updates around the action and send graphics to MagicSoft for playout.

Via B + MagicSoftLive data in the broadcast design

A match summary ready for the producer.

The crew receives a full-time summary with the teams' crests, colours and current statistics. Via B shows which graphics have reached MagicSoft for playout.

Inside the project

Inside the project

Give the production crew control of live graphics.

At half-time, a production crew needs a match summary ready for the broadcast. During play, producers can use heat maps and player statistics to explain the action. Via B turns live OPTA data into these graphics using the broadcaster's artwork and animation. ViaLogos built the application that lets the crew choose the match, prepare language versions and arrange when graphics reach their broadcast software.

01 / The challenge

Graphics have to follow an unpredictable match.

A half-time summary must follow the whistle, even when the match runs late. Statistics can be corrected while the crew is preparing its next graphic. Producers need automation that follows the game, and operators need to know which graphics are ready and which have reached MagicSoft before deciding what to put on air.

02 / The approach

Prepare the coverage before kickoff.

Crews can choose their graphics and languages before kickoff, then schedule updates for match moments, events or specific times. During the broadcast, operators see upcoming cues and delivery history, and can run a graphic manually when the producer needs it. We built these controls around the changing match data, so the crew can prepare coverage in advance and still respond to the game.

Using the application

What people can do.

01

More ways to tell the match story

Producers can choose match summaries, player statistics, heat maps and attacking-third graphics for their coverage. Developers can add formats using our module SDK and shared artwork tools, giving the broadcaster a way to extend its graphics collection.

02

The broadcaster's own animation

Designers can create layered animations with masks, transparency and carefully timed movement. Our image and animation tools fill those designs with live statistics, club colours, crests and player portraits, adapting the same artwork for the teams on screen.

03

Coverage for English and Thai audiences

A crew can prepare English, Thai or bilingual graphics, including animations that change language. We handled the differences in lettering and name length so both languages fit the design. Operators can also adjust how player and club names appear in the broadcast.

04

Automation that follows the game

A producer can plan a half-time summary, a heat map at a chosen minute or a graphic prompted by a match event. The crew can add a delay to fit the rundown, check what is due next and review what has already been sent.

05

Reusable setups for different broadcasts

Teams can save the graphics, languages and MagicSoft destinations they use for a production. Variations let them adapt that setup for another broadcast while keeping shared defaults, rather than configuring every output again.

06

Ready for the crew's workstations

Operators can work in English or Thai, choose a light or dark interface and open help beside the task at hand. We deliver the application for Windows and Linux, with the supporting software included and signed releases for installation and updates.
